We have forward progress again! We hired a subcontractor to finish the drywall in the apartment and complete the framing of the house. The drywall is done and the framing starts next Monday.
You may remember I mentioned we took our old fireplace mantle. Well, it was looking really tired so we gave the mantle and the boys a facelift.

The wood for the ceiling is DONE!! Now we need to get it upstairs...
I don't expect much going on until the end of the week, we need to finish painting one bedroom and that will be done. We have a sander rented for this weekend in preparation for the flooring material. Our contractor came by Friday, he's lost a lot of weight and is still pretty weak, but after 10 days in the ICU, it was great to see him! We are pretty close to finishing the Garage Mahal, unfortunately we still have no well or septic. The well may still be months out. Our original well driller was supposed to come to us the middle of August, when we didn't hear anything we called. Well, the other folks near us that they were going to do at the same time, canceled, they failed to let us know. So, now we are calling every driller around and everyone is backed up for months.
Should be big changes next week.
