Well, I guess it was inevitable...Not only does our excavator have Covid, now our contractor and his crew has it too...Ugh!
This was last weeks progress. We were so hopeful, things were really starting to roll. This will be the kitchen.
This is the great room looking to the two bedrooms.
We had the ceiling material for the apartment delivered. There were three stacks like this one.
The night it was delivered we had a big storm roll through, the tarp covering the wood blew off and a lot of it got wet. We moved it, piece by piece, into the garage to dry.

Putting the sanding sealer coat on.
We also picked up these doors off Facebook Marketplace. They have been stored in a garage for YEARS! They look pretty rough, but we'll clean them up and they will be perfect. This one will be for the mechanical room in the garage.
And this one will be for the gym.
Stu poly coating one of the doors for the Garage Mahal.
The concrete guys finally showed up this morning to pour the slab for the house foundation.
So, after working the weekend on the wood for the ceiling, we got 88 boards coated with sanding sealer and poly coat. Only 392 left to do....😬
Done...
A small portion of not done...
The finished slab. We also had the flooring lumber delivered this morning.
So, here we are... No well dug, no septic or gas tanks in. This has definitely been a struggle, we were hoping to be in the Garage Mahal by the end of this month, it's not looking good since that's tomorrow.
Not sure what this week will hold, we are having the whole house lumber package delivered on Thursday. We'll also be on the hunt for more sanding sealer and poly coat, we went to 4 different stores last week and only found 1 gallon of each.
