Progress This Week

 Monday: We met with another (#4) excavator.  Stu likes him and they seem to be on the same page as far as what needs to/should be done. And look at that grass!  Too bad most of it will be dug up again, but for now it looks good. 

Tuesday: We were all set for an epic workday!  We were supposed to have 2 trucks making 2 trips with the blocks for our retaining wall... Well, we ended up with 1 truck and only 1 trip. But at least it's a start.

Today we met with the representative from the electric company with our drawings/maps/instructions to get the lines run to the property. 

We have hurricane Zeta coming in, it's been raining all day today and we're in for 2 more days of it.  We are scheduled to get more blocks on Monday but it may be too muddy.  Should be a nice sunny weekend though, so we'll see....

Still not a whole lot going on.  This Covid thing is really not only slowing things down, but raising the prices of materials to the point that we think we may to wait until the beginning of the year to actually start building, we'll see....

The next step is running the electric lines which, we're told, will take 2 weeks to get the drawings back, then another 1-2 weeks to run the lines...ugh.

 Day two of excavation, burn day!  

With all the work and stomping around we've been doing on the property, we have one survivor.  A lone daisy, standing strong!
