Working on the Gym!

We had some time, more like we made time, to work on the gym. We pressure washed the tin and more boards.

I may have mentioned earlier, a few years back Stu and our good friend Jerry took an old barn down and were able to salvage a lot of the wood and tin. We used some of the wood and tin in our last gym/shed/car port, but was able to use a little more for this gym.

As you can imagine, they were FILTHY!

The living room ceiling in the house is almost done!!

Kenny finished getting the tiles up in the shower, now he's starting on the floor.

Not much going on for the rest of the week, lol, at least as far as contractors. We are hoping to get a lot of the gym done, but next week...

The painter is starting on the garage on Monday. We should be getting the patio at least formed up and there may be a siting from our excavator. 

Concrete and Tile Work

Another busy week, Kenny started to work on the shower.

Work continues on the ceiling in the living room.

Off to a good start!

We finally got some of the driveway in front of the garage cleared, getting ready to pour the pad.

Stu brought in some gravel to level everything off.

Nope, still no siding on the dormers...

We started pressure washing some of the wood we cut for the gym. They were filthy!! 

But came out great!

The shower is coming along nicely!

We finally got a few plants in the ground.

And, got a few boards up in the gym!!

The garage pad is done.

We also poured the steps for the front porch.

We are hoping to get the patio poured this week, among the daily emergencies that come up...

Stain and Woodwork

Last weekend our friends Jack and Kim came over to help us put straight edges on the stack of wood we bought for the gym walls.

All done with cutting, now we need to pressure wash...

That's a good start! This is the wood for the living room ceiling.

And the ceiling is going up!!

We have all the tile for the master bath, the tile for the rest of the house will be coming in this week, hopefully and the tile for the gym came in today. 

It's 71 degrees right now and we are expecting snow tomorrow and 11 degrees... Crazy!

I think I mentioned that the siding on the house is done, yay! But we still have some to do on the garage. We do have another guy coming by on Monday, in theory, to give us an estimate on the remaining siding and painting, keep your fingers crossed for us!

This is the lake today, the water is up, we still have about 10 feet to go to be at full pool and about a month to clear the water. 

The siding on the house is done! Finally!

We bought ALL the flooring today! This is for the shower, it should be going in tomorrow! 

We finally got one of our two garage doors in yesterday, but they were missing a part so they will be back tomorrow to put the other one in.  Should be big changes in the next few weeks.  Unfortunately, we still don't have a firm design for the kitchen yet and it will be 3 months from production, ugh...
