Setting The Retaining Wall

 Friday's adventure was digging the area where the wall will be and they did get some blocks in place. 

Hard to believe, but the fire is still burning!!

They finished setting the wall on Saturday.

We'll be painting it a dark grey with lots of plants above and in front, can't wait to see it done.

Next step is to fill in behind and start to level off the areas for the house and garage.

I'm really going to miss this view.

More Blocks!

We had two truckloads of blocks delivered yesterday, 3 down, 2 more truckloads to go...

We couldn't go to the property today, we had to pick up a load of wood.  This lovely bunch of poplar will eventually be our interior trim for the new house.  

We did have the rest of the blocks delivered (60 total) today.  Unfortunately we can't go tomorrow either, we are on a mission to collect the electrical supplies. The excavators will be working on the retaining wall tomorrow.  We'll be out Saturday to throw some grass seed down, stay tuned....
