Weekend Update

The roof is done, bye-bye green monster!

Tomorrow, we have the washer, dryer and refrigerator for the apartment being delivered. Also, the septic inspector is coming tomorrow. With any luck the excavator will be here Wednesday to cover the system.  We are having a water treatment system installed Thursday, so with any luck we'll be up and running for water/sewer by Thursday/Friday! Hello laundry day!! 

Teamwork for the Win!!

We've had some very productive days, things are finally falling into place.

The septic system is in and we passed the electrical inspection today!

Time to get this well working! Stu drilling the hole for the pipe.

How many people does it take to get 120 feet of pipe with the pump down the well?

Well, for us it was 6...

Taa Daa!!  We have water!  We are having it tested tomorrow, but it's clear and has no sulfur smell.

The concrete guys showed up this morning, a day early, to pour the front porch.

The toilet has been installed in the apartment! It's the little things, lol!

We have to use a pump system for our septic system.

Our water is on it's way out, but still beautiful!

The front porch all done. About 5 days before we can walk on it, the forms will come off Friday.

The roofer is coming tomorrow morning.

Back to Cosby to pick up a few things, lol!

We made some really good progress this week! We got the electric line run to the house.

Stu and Kenny digging the trench for the septic line.

The sheetrock in the garage is done.

And the gym.

Supports for the concrete on the front porch.  That is scheduled to be poured next Thursday.

Most of the trim work is done, unfortunately you can't see the beautiful colors outside, the windows are so filthy!

Mostly trim work on the ceiling left to do. 

Septic tank # 1 going in yesterday!!

Both septic tanks and our propane tank in.

We picked up some butcher block today, this will be turned into our bathroom vanity.

Good news, bad news... Good news: we are really close to having the Garage Mahal done. Bad news: We can't get the Certificate of Occupancy until the siding is on and we can't find anyone to do it...

We'll see what the next week brings!
