I had been dreading this week for weeks! We had to get the trusses down to the house from the top of the driveway and bring all the doors and windows out from our storage unit.
So, we started the week on Sunday, moving some of the smaller truss parts that we could handle with the tractor.
This was the first try, putting it on our friend Jerry's car hauler with a crane, that didn't work.
The well drillers showed up next...
The crane, set up and ready for action.
They assembled the overhang/soffit area on the ground.
This was at the end of the day.
So, the well drillers on Monday went down to 600 feet and got nothing...except 13k from us. They came back the next day and tried a different location, we got water at 140 feet!
Kenny and company continued with the wood on the ceiling.
We raced back to Newport on Wednesday evening to get all the windows and doors.
Another end of the day shot.
The ceiling is almost done, just need to finish one of the bedroom and the bathroom.
Successful well # 2.
The twin bedroom.
The kitchen with the lights rigged up to work.
This was the end of the day yesterday. Kenny got a lot of the flooring done, we love it!
The twin bedroom, almost done.
Another busy week ahead. Today we are bringing some of the cabinet out as well as boards to finish off the great room ceiling. With any luck we'll get the ceiling and flooring done and work on the electrical. We have the drywall folks coming out tomorrow to work on the garage/mechanical room/gym and fix the wall in the apartment bathroom. Fingers crossed, we are shooting for the end of the month to move into the apartment!
