Wow, it's been a crazy week, and it's not done yet...
We stopped by to see Wood Chuck, the guy that's carving our telephone poles. This is the first one, it's halfway done. Still some fine tuning to do, but he looks good.
Tuesday we borrowed a truck from a friend, loaded up the tractor and headed up to the property. Halfway there we broke down. It was 24 degrees out and snowing, 2 hours later we were rescued and on our way. Didn't get much accomplished except getting the tractor out to the property, which was pretty big.
We've had so much rain the lake is coming back up already.
They started working on the foundation yesterday, finally!!
They got the garage formed up and ready for concrete.
A little more work to be done on the house and of course the rain is back.
I did a little clean up on the shoreline. Being a TVA man made lake, there were lots of homes through this area. I found lots of farm implements, tools, horseshoes, etc..

And A LOT of glass and pottery. It's sad to think people that lived here for years, even generations were moved from the only home they ever knew to make this lake...
Now that we have the tractor, Stu was able to move dock # 1 a little until it got stuck on a tree stump. They have been stuck in the same position for so long trees are starting to grow underneath.
I saw the wood chips on the ground at the base of this tree and thought "someone has been cutting our trees!" Well, not someone, something...a woodpecker.
It looks like, right now anyway, that we may have a few good days next week. Hopefully we can get the concrete poured....
