Weekend Update

Well, we got 3 days in this week.  The rain/snow is really slowing things down.

Still lots to burn in the cove, years and years of downed trees have piled up.  But, it looks better already...

The next day we moved on to another section to open up the view. More downed trees and lots of underbrush.

Gravel at the top of the driveway!!

Digging the trench for the power.

What's left of our burn pile at the shoreline.

Stu and I glued four 100 foot sections of the conduit together in preparation for the electrician arriving the next day.

When we bought the property, these two dock were here, they are a mess and in great need of some TLC, but Stu's on it!

The after shot, more to come, or should I say go...

The box for the 400 amp transformer is in.

And this happened...  We've been looking online for a boat, this came up so we ran down to Georgia and picked this up.

It's like a pontoon boat, but has a fiberglass hull.

I will say, this is not how it looked when we picked it up, it's in great shape, but it was filthy. I mean really, really filthy.  We pressure washed her when we got back and it looks much better already.  More work needed, we just need some days a little warmer than 35 degrees...

Can't wait for summer!

And, this arrived from Italy!!

This is the original in the old house, we weren't able to take it with us, but I love it!  So, I ordered a new one from the same folks that made the first one.

More rain/snow in the forecast for this week, we'll see how we do...
